  Ordered a few slips from Steve now. Nothing is too much trouble. Great advice on skip sizes for the job and access. Really helpful drivers who’ll put the skip exactly where you want it (within reason of course) and can get a skip delivered with a day or 2. Will definitely keep on using them.

  Absolutely brilliant company. Asked for a morning delivery and it arrived at 8.25am. Two weeks later (you can request an earlier collection if required) it is picked up and taken away. Both delivery guys were lovely, and the guys I spoke to on the telephone in the office were really lovely as well. I felt that I mattered to this company. Would 100% recommend this company to anyone.   Genuinly one of the best companies I've worked with. Steve was incredibly helpful. We ended up in a sticky situation which required 2 rubble skips on the same day, and for these guys it was no problem. Spoke to Steve at 8:30 and the skips were on site before 10:00. The driver was extremely polite too. If we're ever down this way again, we will 100% use them again.

What is the most efficient way to load a skip?

We recommend starting with the flattest, heaviest items first, laying them at the base of your skip to create a solid foundation before you then follow with:

The heaviest and bulkiest items onto your flat base
Smaller items such as cardboard and packaging crushed or flattened down
Rubbish placed layer by layer, rather than just stacked
Bulkier items broken down into smaller parts

At Throw & Tow Eco Skips, we pride ourselves on sending zero waste to landfill, which is why we can’t accept all types of waste in our skips. Items we’re unable to take include:

Gas cylinders
Medical waste and needles
Fluorescent light bulbs
Fridge/freezers and televisions
Solvents, white spirit, paint and fuels
Tyres
Man-made slates
Food, human or dog waste
Mattresses
Bitumen roofing felt
Carpet
